Assistant RA Manager, ASEAN - Nutrition

Responsibilities Project Support
* Responsible for providing regional regulatory input to innovation and service-to-market projects initiated from the AP Region
* Communicate and align with local regulatory affiliates on regulatory requirements necessary for the projects
* Anticipate regulatory obstacles and emerging issues throughout the project and work with appropriate team to develop solutions
* Review product formulations and specifications against country regulations for regulatory compliance
* Perform reviews on accuracy and conformance of information of on pack labels and off pack marketing materials to ensure regulatory compliance to country regulations
* Establish and maintain effective communication with other departments / regions to prepare regulatory dossiers for product registration as and when required
* Take part in conformance and product maintenance efforts as assigned to ensure regulatory requirements are communicated and/or met
* Prepare consolidated summaries of project or non-project related regulatory assessments
* Develop consolidated database of regulatory requirements e.g. non-nutrient requirements, product registration requirements
* Draft and distribute minutes of monthly RA teleconference
* Scan for and provide updates on the Asia regulatory landscape to Regional RA via relevant regulatory websites

Continual Improvement (Kaizen)
* Evaluate the effectiveness of Regional RA policies, procedures and make recommendations for improvement
* Assess, monitor and communicate operation gaps and drive for improvement

REQUIREMENTS

Educational Requirements & Professional Background
* Bachelor's degree in Food Science and/or Nutrition
* Experiences in food industry, food regulatory body, clinical nutrition or related expertise is preferred
* Experiences dealing with international registration, regulations / regulatory issues especially in claims development, submission, substantiation and approval is also preferred
* Excellent command of English in both written and spoken communication
* Proficient in MS Office and computer applications; technology savvy
* Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and work under fast-tracked deadlines
